Duel Poetry: a prearranged poetry writing challenge between two people to evolve a new poem where each writer must respond to the other writer’s lines (4 -5 ) until both parties agree that the poem is complete. ~
Charlie/slpmartin and I began writing dual poetry in September of 2010. As of today, we have written eight poems together through email messages.Charlie and I have the ability to blend our thoughts to feel as one voice even though we come from different generations and walks of life. I feel honored to have found a writing partner with such a strong connection and I am grateful for the friendship we have formed over time.

I love poetry collaborations…and frequently engage in ‘twitter’ collabs. These also serve to be wonderfully spontaneous, and offer delightful avenues to explore. I enjoyed this poem very much!
